As a part of my studies in XAMK University of Applied Sciences I was responsible for organisation and hosting of an annual event, called "Peace Night". The event  was available for people of all ages, nationalities and genders and it had a goal to relax, remind visitors about peace and human rights. The event is held every year as a memory of Crystal Night.

Me and two of my project members created  a concert program, including speeches about peace, dances by famous city dance groups and guitar performances. At the same time, we were responsible for place design, music, control of snacks and non-alcoholic drinks supply. The area was decorated with various quotes and nice pictures related to peace. One of the areas was designed as an art exhibition, provided by XAMK students. Other implemented idea was a tree with separated leaves, where all participants could write what does the word "peace" mean to them and attach to the tree. 

 

The event was held in three languages: Finnish, English and Russian. The promotion and marketing activities were done by distributing posters around the city and XAMK University, as well as on Facebook and VK.com.

The event organisation process was analysed in detail due to feedback from around 100 participants and supervisors. Ideas for the next years event were proposed and suggested.
